JASTRIKA
Privacy
There is no checkout on this site, no account to create and no contact form. Below is everything it actually does with data — in plain words.
What leaves your browser
Two things on this site compute something for you: the panchang widget and the lunar image panel. When you use them, the page sends our calculation service the city you picked and — for the lunar image — the date, and if you give it, the time of birth.
That data is used for the calculation and nothing else. It is not stored, and it is not written to our logs: the service records only technical metadata — which endpoint was called, the response status, how long it took and a request identifier. This is enforced by automated tests, not by promise alone.
What stays in your browser
The panchang widget keeps the last calculation and the chosen city in your browser's local storage, so the page does not have to recompute everything when you come back. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
What the server writes down
Our web server keeps an ordinary access log: your IP address, the path requested, the response status and size, the referring page and your browser's user agent. Query strings are excluded deliberately, so a city you searched for does not end up in the log.
Analytics
There is no analytics counter on this site at present. If one is added, this page will say which it is, what it stores and how to refuse it — before it is switched on.
The Telegram bot
The buttons on this site lead to @jastrika_bot in Telegram. That is a separate service with its own settings: inside the bot you choose what it stores, and you can delete your data there at any time. Telegram itself handles your data under its own terms.
Who to ask
This site is run by JASTRIKA. Write to @jastrika_bot with any question about data — including a request to delete what the bot holds.
