Siddhi is yoga of success and accomplishment.

Siddhi (Siddhi) is the sixteenth of the 27 yogas of the panchanga. By count it's yoga #16, right after Vajra. The name comes from the Sanskrit "siddhi" — "perfection," "achievement," "success." Tradition counts Siddhi among the favorable yogas: days under it suit any matter where a visible result matters.

Place in the system

Yoga is the fourth limb of the panchanga, counted by the sum of the longitudes of the Sun and the Moon. Siddhi is sixteenth in the 27-part cycle, from 200° to 213°20′ of combined longitude. Siddhi (#16) and Siddha (#21) are different yogas of the cycle with similar-sounding names: Siddhi speaks to success that shows outwardly, Siddha to a mature state that has settled within.

In the muhurta classification, Siddhi is counted in the favorable group. The connection to achievement and success is the yoga's main note.

Practical meaning

In the tradition of choosing a muhurta, Siddhi is held favorable for achieving goals, public performances, exams. Tradition adds any matter where the result is noticeable from the outside.

The Siddhi background works through achievement. Tradition ties such a day to a result that's been obtained and is visible to others — not an inner sense, but outward confirmation.

In daily practice

Siddhi is a day for results. It's good on this day to get what you've been working toward: close a deal, pass an exam, present your work. The Siddhi yoga supports any undertaking with a measurable outcome, visible from outside.

Siddhi also suits public performances, exams, important presentations — anything where the result matters here and now.

Siddhi also suits getting the payoff from a goal you've pursued for a long time. Tradition ties such a day to strength for a difficult, long-postponed step.

How favorable this day is for you personally is refined by Tara Bala — a count from your birth nakshatra. Siddhi sets a general background of achievement, and the personal layer shows whether that background fits your state today.
